About

My name is Samara Marin, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in writing. For me, the most crucial aspect of teaching is discovering what motivates each student to learn. Throughout my teaching experience, I have come to realize that every student has a natural curiosity and a desire for knowledge. I find great joy in teaching English, as it allows me to leverage the course concepts to help students explore and uncover their own interests in learning.
I have been teaching high school English for several years, and during this time, I have come to understand that as the world continues to evolve, we, as educators, must adapt our teaching methods to address the changing needs of our students within the classroom. Observing our students, we notice that many confine their understanding of learning to a traditional classroom setting, often overlooking the fact that learning can occur in a variety of environments.
My Learners Journey in the aDL Program
Through the Applied Digital Learning (ADL) Master’s Program, I have realized that as educators, we must not only evolve our classroom practices but also adapt to the ever-changing world around us. The ADL program has encouraged me to explore the current digital landscape and consider how I can use these resources in my classroom and organization. Additionally, I have gained valuable leadership skills necessary for implementing these concepts effectively. With the knowledge I have acquired about myself and digital resources, I aspire to make meaningful contributions to the continually evolving field of education.
